Think about how many websites you’ve ever been to only once . . . hundreds and hundreds of them.

Do you want your website to be one of those sites that is visited only once, never to be seen again? Of course not, that’s why you need a “Lead Capture Box”.

A lead capture box is an area of the homepage or other pages of the website that includes a form encouraging visitors to join your email list.

Why would I want people to join my email list?  So you can call them back to your website again an again to build a relationship with your prospective clients and customers.

For a moment, think about how much effort it takes to get someone to your website the first time. You may pay for a banner, go to multiple networking events and give out your card, put an ad in a newspaper, record a radio spot, or something else.

The “Marketing Rule of 7” states that someone needs to be exposed to your message about 7 times before they take an action.

When a website visitor joins your email list, you can communicate with them via email until they become a customer, repeat-customer, or unsubscribe from your list.

It’s not spamming, and they will not be upset. They entered their name and email address and asked to be on your list.

Think of the email lists you are on. You’re on more than you may realize, such as: Groupon, Hawaiian Airlines, Best Buy, your local news update, and many others.

And, what’s really awesome, if if you use a 3rd party service such as Aweber to manage your list, we can automatically notify everyone on your list and on your Facebook page when you have a new blog post on your website.

Want an example? Check out the homepage of our website or the Lead Capture form at the top of this page. It’s a perfect example.
